Description

Civil project engineer Qualification: Architect or Civil engineer from an accredited university. Experience: (0 - 5 years) of contracting on construction projects, including 4 years on site. Main Duties: ▪ Quality Control of site activities. ▪ Implementation of project specific Quality Programs i.e. Field Inspection (civil and architectural works), Material Submittals & Testing, Shop Drawing Administration, Material & Shop Drawings Schedules. ▪ Initiation and Development of methods and procedures for inspection and testing. ▪ Projects close-out and management of technical issues. • Provides general management, operational & technical direction to subordinates with regards to the various aspects & phases of the project to ensure professional and timely execution of the project within the allocated resources and budgets. • Supervises the technical department in providing the detailed shop-drawings for projects. • Ensures that the material supplies from both suppliers & sub-contractors are in accordance with project specifications, requirements and conditions. • Ensures that material quantities and specifications in accordance with the project agreement and that these quantities are delivered on time. Skills: Thorough knowledge of engineering techniques. Good knowledge of CSI Master Format. ISO 9001:2000 is a plus. Computer Literacy – AutoCad. Languages: Fluent English – French is a plus.
